Immersive Surfaces (2011) |
|
"Immersive Surfaces" is a large-scale public video mapping projection collaboration between Simon Anaya, Farkas Fulop, Richard Jochum, John Moreno, John Ensor Parker, and Ryan Uzilevsky using the Manhattan Bridge in Dumbo as its canvas. Curated by Leo Kuelbs and shown during the Dumbo Arts Festival, the 30,000 square foot multi-part installa- tion made a “crowd,” i.e. the connection between the individual and a group a main topic. As a metaphor for crowd, the project centers around the idea of a waterfall consisting of humans floating in the anchorage and anchorway of the bridge. |
